About Anatolia College

Anatolia College is a non-profit educational institution with a long and prestigious history dating to its founding in 1886 by American missionaries in Merzifon, Asia Minor. Anatolia relocated to Thessaloniki in 1924 after the catastrophic events in Asia Minor at the invitation of Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos and moved to its current 45 acre campus in Pylaia, the northeastern suburbs of Thessaloniki, in 1934.

Its objective is to provide youngsters with not only the requisite academic training but to also instill a strong sense of social responsibility and a love for culture to our students. It gives significant emphasis to the development in its students’ personalities as an essential part of their preparation to lead constructive lives and to serve their fellow man, their community, and society at large. Beyond academics, Anatolia’s students are taught to hold higher moral values, perform their duties conscientiously and with discipline, claim their rights but similarly respect others’ rights, appreciate the arts, music and sports, develop their talents, enhance their self-esteem and become aware of their skills and abilities.

With hand-picked teachers, a solid administrative structure, and a modern infrastructure, Anatolia College consistently provides the highest quality education. It prepares its graduates to achieve and succeed in their university and post-graduate studies at some of the best colleges and universities in Greece, the U.S., the U.K. and beyond andto become leading figures in their chosen professions.

More than 1,600 students attend Anatolia College each year. All have access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities offered by the school that foster teamwork, and individual talent, encourage initiative, and enhance the development of leadership skills and self-confidence.
